My College List *

1.) Seton Hall University - Offers a variety of programs in which I am interested in, such as physology, buisness, and childhood education to name a few. Not only that, but there are countless athletics available. Plus, it is located in a suburbian environment, which I prefer. It is also private which means more money but hopefully a better education. Seton Hall would be preferably my first college choice.

2.) Drew University – Like St. Mary’s, Drew University is a relatively small school. It is a private school which hopefully in the long run narrows down to a better education. Along with my other three selections, Drew University is located in New Jersey.

3.) Ramapo University – Ramapo came up as one of my many results on College Matchmaker. So I took it into consideration, and became very fond of the programs and legacy of this very school. This may be particulary difficult to get into considering its 51% admissions rate, but with my goals in mind I believe much is possible. Moreover, the tuition rate for this particular college is a little over $11,000, which is not bad at all. Also, it is located in the area I grew up in which I think will give me that homely feeling.

‘Freeze may take heavy toll on Florida citrus’ 1.11.10

‘Frigid temperatures threatened Florida citrus crops as much of the Southeast into plunged into the teens Monday morning,’ says a CNN newscaster. The National Weather Service issued there to be an extreme freeze warning. For instance, Miami which is normally immune to freezing cold weather hit the 40’s this past Sunday. Meteorologists determined that  Florida’s northern region would be the coldest yet. Already northern areas sustained substantial damage throughout these harsh conditions. Must I add Florida citrus is a 9.3 billion dollar industry. In addition, citrus harvest is at its peak right now, and customers are already demanding. Hopefully, Florida’s citrus will not indulge in any downfalls anytime soon.

‘Key points of Obama’s strategy for Afghanistan’

Obama plans to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan over a duration of seven months. This is a rising, worldwide event. Some people are glad that security and protection of fellow Americans are being sent out there, others not so much. Obama has a new strategy this year around. He wants to increase security forces in order to have a more stable base. Troops will also have the job of helping out secure undercover areas. Obama’s idea is to work on becoming allies with Afghanistan and their citizens by building programs with benefits. The Afghanistan government is shaken by the corruption over the past years and now is the perfect time to help. He plans on supporting them this time, rather then going against. Obama is trying to reach out to those, and to become allies with as many countries as possible so in the end if we are the ones going at war we would have someone to back us up.

    Creative Story (:

With my body completely relaxed, I was laying on my bed and let me tell you was I bored. Anyway, my little cousin came in with his comic book. Instead of asking to read it being the mean cousin that I am, I took it viciously from his grip. Then I stammered out of the room and read it in my little secret hide out. On the first page it talked about a girl named Sarah. She cherished this one heart shaped necklace inside a beautiful heart shaped box, in which, her grandmother gave her when she was little. Unfortunately, she misplaced it. So there she was on a journey to find her necklace. By the way, she had some very magical powers. Which were to burn things with her eyes and the ability to fly anywhere and everywhere. It all began, when she flew to Guatemala and back within a night. With her eye vision she burned numerous things that were in her path while flying. She killed an estimated 30 birds and about 2 UFOs. On her other trip to Quebec she ran into some complications. There was a cloud that talked. This cloud would not let her fly past him. It yelled screamed and threw lightning directly at her. She finally managed her way through. It was not until then, that she came across a wall preventing her pathway. “Joy, another complication, she whispered.” So, she stood in a daze wondering what to do next. And, there it was, she bent her knees and flew over the wall. What do you know there her necklace was, she killed 30 birds and 2 UFO’s all to find her necklace behind a never ending wall.

    Reaction to quote

“To be right is not always popular…To be popular is not always right.”

Personally, I believe this quote is completly true. For instance, sometimes majority rules, but this doesn’t account for every situation. The right descion will not always be most favorable. However, the correct descion, is what makes you feel good deep down inside.

On the other hand, “….To be popular is not always right,” suggests that for instance, doing illegal activity might raise your social standing but is it the right thing to do? Is that the kind of image you want to portray to those who look up to you? Maybe the things someone does to be popular isn’t the type of thing one should do in order to be popular.

10 Things that Make Me LAUGH XD

The volleyball team- Whenever I am at practice I never have a smile on my face. Whether I made a dumb mistake or simply just got caught up in the competitiveness, the girls are always making me laugh. (=

Natasha Saldarriaga- This girl always cracks me up. And, best of all she can make fun out of any situation. Like when we went to shop-rite the other day, and to kill time we played volleyball in the isles. Plus, she tells me the most hilarious stories and believe me I enjoy being updated. =p

Lauren Russo- She is the most random person ever, that in general makes me laugh. =]

Friday after a very close loss, I was on the bus(ride) back to the school.  Half the team had gotten rides back, keep in mind. So it was me and a couple of other people. So anyway, we stuck our heads out the windows, and we would pass by random people and just start saying things like, ’heeeeey blue hat’ and wave. They waved back alright. It is good to know, that we made someone smile that day. And, you would think after a loss we would be upset, yeah not so much. ;]

My sister, Sandra, makes me laugh all day everyday. She looks nothing like me, yet she acts exactly like me. Our insiders are the funniest things known to man. (:

Gym Class (1st period)- I am so glad I have gym first period because, it really brightens my day, so to speak. We all get along so well, and the humor really travels throughout the entire gym. Gym is one of the few classes I have with a hand full of my friends, so that is also a plus. =D

George Lopez- I always get a kick out of watching this show. It is one of my all time favorite shows. Whenever I turn it on, I can expect a great laugh. [:

Dr. Pat- He tends to dunk his head into a bowl of freezing cold ice and water, due to the extreme heat that is. Plus, he makes some really funny comments in class that honestly provoke me to look at the clock less often. [=

My little brother, Richard, is five years young and I can not help but laugh when being within his presence. He enjoys sneaking up on me and then tickling me with all his might. I am quite tickilish, I must note. Plus, he makes up stories about what he did in his life, (all five years) which is really funny. (=p

Bon Qui Qui- (Anjelah Johnson) well known from her youtube videos. ’bon qui qui at king burger’ I love imatating her sayings, like I do in movies. This is one of those classics. =)

‘Samoan islands shaken by second quake.’ An earthquake hit near the Samoan islands this past Wednesday. It was already partially destructed by previous earthquake and tsunami attack. The earthquake was not predicted, it was a shocker killing more than one hundred and thirty people. There was a huge emergency effort to prevent the deaths but unfortuantely one hundred and thirty nine people where killed in the act. Obama addressed this event as people where mortified that they had lost nearly everything.
